This petition by the Cato Institute was featured in many of America’s popular newspapers last week.  200 leading economists including Nobel laureates and other prominent scholars signed the statement with another version, including 100 additional economists (featuring our own Tim Bastian), available here

    HAVE BEEN ON -LINE TO EVERYONE WE CAN THINK OF TO LET THEM KNOW HOW WE FEEL ABOUT THE SPENDING BILL. LETTING THEM KNOW IT IS BETTER TO CUT TAX RATES AND CAPITAL GAINS TAXES. GET RID OF PORK AND UNNECESSARY SPENDING. MUST STAND TOGETHER AND STAY TRUE TO OUR VALUES AND THE VALUES OUR REPRESENTATIVES WERE ELECTED TO PRESERVE.
