If economists wrote the news on trade protection………….an amusing and true commentary such as duties are in fact taxes. It does make you wonder how many people really understand the economics of business and prosperity as opposed to “fair outcomes”. Characteristically, those who favor those “fair outcomes” seem also to be farthest from the action and reality.
